THE FALL
Those days at the beach are drawing to a close. The long afternoons and brief nights are ebbing. The air is turning colder, and good breather children everywhere are being forced out of summer break to once again attend class.
The Fall is coming.
Someone once told me a vampire’s existence is better measured in seasons than years. Years are temporary. Seasons are eternal. They are markers, each representing a perspective, a unique point of view on the passing years, far beyond the space of time that houses them. The same can be said of vampires. A number on a calendar means nothing to us. A single year little different than a single day. But over a long enough span, patterns do emerge. We change and evolve, shifting from one period of our lives to another, with changes as stark as the frozen winter to the warm summer nights.
Enough stalling.
I’m leaving Bloodcopy indefinitely, starting tonight. Another site has been gracious enough to house it in the meantime, so you can still access any part of Bloodcopy on the HBO web site. (www.hbo.com/trueblood)
There are a number of reasons for my departure, though I suppose the most direct involves some unfinished business with an old friend. It’s nothing dangerous or criminal (sorry, devout FOTS members), but it does require my full attention and could easily lead to greater changes in my future.
You could say I’m entering the next season of my life.
This wouldn’t be the first time I’ve suspended this site, so I won’t be rash and swear I’ll never return. Of course, the first time I left I was human. I must admit my farewell message that time still amuses me, where I claimed I was off to seek out new creatures in the world. Little did I know I’d become one of them.
This time I’m going to try a different approach. I’ll resist the temptation to expound on the state of human/vampire co-existence, the strides and back steps we’ve taken, the uncertain future facing us. I won’t recount my incredible experience as a member of Gawker, the new oddities I’ve faced since my maker called me back home. I won’t even thank each and every single person who’s joined me along the way. Comment on their insightful comments and thoughtful contributions. Tell them I’ve learned far more from them than they could ever from me.
I’ve said all these things before.
Instead, I’ll simply wish you pleasant evenings on your own travels. And do take good care.
Vampires may not be the only other creatures sharing your world.

My brother, say it isnt so! I understand what you say , trust me. Change for the sake of changes sake is worthless, let natural progression take over . You are young you have stated before, i dont recall how old, but I have seen over 450 some odd years, that if you find something you do well, and enjoy, continue to do it. @ Andrew - I agree with Marilyn, please let us know how your doing from time to time, or atleast say a few words. We have been on your side for a long time, both as when you were a breather, amusing me with your view on our world, and as one of us, seeing the diffrence.
@ Marilyn - Where / when are you being turned? I wouldnt mind a good hunt, I have always loved watching someone get there first kill. As to your other question - your sexuality doesnt change ususally, but you do become open to more options, you may become bi during your everlife, many vampires are or have atleast proded the waters (no pun intended). Your soon to be maker will teach you the ropes as you said, and soon he will mean more to you than you can EVER feel as a human, its sort of like having children, so I have heard. You will be his child, he will give you life, and forever he will be in your heart. He may release you one day, but he will always know where you are, and you will always feel stronger for him than any other. If I cant make it to your turning, please let me wish you a happy hunting. The first drop is always the best. Find a virgin if you can, they taste better.

Take care of yourself young blood. As we say in Jamaica, ‘walk good’ wherever your new journeys take you. It has been interesting following your journeys into and through vampirehood. It has inspired me to allow others to follow mine. Just remember that humanity and vampirety are not polar opposites. You have to find your own way. I won’t tell you that there is no right or wrong, only that you must do what you have to do to survive.
On your last note. A human friend of mine from your area reports that he saw a rolling calf (see http://twitter.com/King_of_Jamaica/status/3792102584 ) in the woods near Bon Temps a few nights ago. And by rolling calf I don’t just mean a Jamaican shapeshifter but a shifter in the form preferred in Jamaica; a fierce bull. How intriguing. Reading the creative ideas of others is obviously a great source for creating your own.
Why do we stick to the same old same old?
Would be nice of people to create there own new ideas as they would be just as fallible as the myths of old
Let me put it to you this way and its a mini mind opener.
If we had the perfect power source that could power everything we use, cleanly and for amazing amounts of time.
Then time for the old would be respected but placed in the background, Exploration would go to a new level.

I fail to see how using someones created world as a guideline for a story character who is meant to fit into said world is same old same old, it seems more to be more of running with the ball, so to speak. I have many ideas of my own, many of my posts are of my own accord, i do not need anyone’s “creative ideas” to fuel my own. as to your rpg gamer comment, whats is your point? Someone can take an idea, and go into a role with it and that suddenly makes someone who cannot do it better than them? What is writing, but taking a person and putting them into a role, what is acting but taking on a role? Taking a role for a character is nothing to be ashamed of or to poke at others about simply because you cannot do so for your own satisfaction. If someone enjoys being able to FREELANCE A ROLE in a premade domain and uses said domain as a guideline for character issues, ideals, and ability, requires a GREAT deal of creativity.
Just because you do not see it as fun, does not mean that others cannot use there mind to make it fun for themselves.

This is a role play site for a show that couldn’t carry a good second season and also where some believe the role play to be real.
If you want an intelligent response maybe try creating an answer to the above question yourself?
It’s all anyone who answers is going to do, if your asking a question on something that is real then you’ll possibly get the facts.
Your asking about a subject that is still being written and created by the minds of today.
Vampire information has changed more the average Christian religion, having a new generation have a different take on it.
To be honest, asking a question like the above is better answered by the person asking the question.
Unless of course your looking for some creative ideas from others because there are no facts on the subject of created myth.
Being that no one has responded yet your probably best of creating the answer yourself.
More then likely be more creative then what anyone else can offer as its a cool creative idea for a question

Oh honey, you THINK you know where Bill is. If you haven’t noticed the show is quite different from the books. They could put Bill anywhere, or they could put him where he should be. I for one was sad after I read the books. I wish I could un-read them. The show was much better when when I thought that’s how things went. Now that I know what SHOULD be going on I’m a little less enthusiastic about the return of another season.

Well word has it you have to get hold of a very special plant. It grows out doors but can also be grown in doors with some technical know how. Although its not rare it is still hard to find.

Then if the flash part is that easy i am sure you could extend both your arms at shoulder height and spin in a flash.
Now balancing is going to be a massive issue but you should be able to fly, granted you will get dizzy as hell but sometimes that the price you pay.
Eric did not really fly, he borrowed the sky hook idea from Batman and sends psychic signals as and when he needs the plane.
Remember the hurricane that screw up those peeps in series one, well that was the Tasmanian flash flight.

I just saw the trailer for this exciting new vampire movie “Daybreakers” with Ethan Hawke, Isabel Lucas and Willem Dafoe! Seems like it will be a great turn in the vampire film genre finally! The trailer looks amazing and very unique; it will be in theaters January 8th!

Get over yourselves; it’s just a marketing thing for the show. The posters on here are only taking part of it, like playing pretend. I doubt there’s anyone putting on plastic fangs and going “I R VAMPIIREZ NAO U GUIZ I SPARKLE!!1!”

Why wont just one of you louisiana vampires or any vampire thats goodlooking anyway(male please) come make me a believer. Not talking about silly humans who think that they are vampire just because they are lost from this world so they cut on their friends, im talking to REAL vampires here.I have been here in louisiana all of my life and never even once came across an inkling of a feeling that anyone even in new orleans was a real undead vampire. So if you are real undead vampire, able to glamor me then what are you waiting for, where are you and why would you hide from one who is willing to work with you, of course if your real? I never said i want to be a vampire so dont mistake me, i said make me a believer.. I am just here in louisiana, lafayette louisiana that is, well near enough to lafayette, where are you, do you ever hang out on jefferson street on fridays or saturdays, if not , why? Thats where you might find me. But of course i doubt any of you REAL vampires will ever find me. Because you say you dont hang out with humans, whatever. That is nonsence. Be brave, i mean i know this site is just based on a series for HBO . but it got the attention of REAL vampires so, go along with it vampires, work toward getting your rights. Be brave and come hang out on jefferson st downtown lafayette la. Clubs all the way down jefferson. I will make you a deal, if you can deal? My deal is this, if you can find me, then if your glamor works on me, i’ll be ok with you biting me, if your glamor does not work then you have to buy my drinks for the rest of that night.
